The design of the vehicles is based on that of the Rhaetian Railway.
In future, FELA passenger information systems will also inform passengers in Asia. This is made possible by an order from our long-standing customer Stadler Bussnang AG, which has once again decided to work with FELA. Stadler is supplying a total of 14 new vehicles in retro design. All of them will be equipped with a passenger information system from FELA.
Stadler has already relied on passenger information systems from FELA for several projects. We are therefore particularly pleased that the quality and cooperation were also convincing in the Asian customer’s project. This is the first time that our hardware has found its way to the Far East and is orienting local users. For FELA, this is the first time that our systems have been used in the Far East, which is particularly exciting for the entire team!
The customer requires a complete passenger information system that includes both the visual passenger information via displays in the passenger compartment and the displays on the vehicle, the audio system (or PAN, Phone Announcement System) for acoustic communication in the train, the network for train (land) communication (ZuKo) and the video surveillance system (CCTV). We are using our many years of experience to equip the Stadler vehicles and have also expanded our system to include Chinese, making it usable for Chinese customers for the first time.
The project is currently in the test phase. The first two vehicles were delivered and put into operation at the end of 2023. The remaining 12 vehicles will then follow in 2024. We wish the users a safe journey today!
