In June 2016, the Regional Transport Bern-Solothurn (RBS) ordered fourteen four-part suburban passenger trains. The four-part electrical multiple units – completely walk-through – are designed for speeds of up to 100 km/h. The Worbla is full of innovations.
From 2017 to 2019, the Worbla was fitted with a passenger information system optimised for the RBS with five screens per carriage and so supplied the passengers continuously with information about the route and the connections.
In cooperation with Stadler and the RBS, we developed and integrated a design solution for the passenger information system and constructed a four-fold monitor mounting in V-form especially for the RBS.
